Quotes from Preservice Education Majors

If I had kept a journal this semester, I think I would find that I have used what I learned from the disposition printouts almost every day since.

The biggest area of A-ha! for me this semester came in our study of dispositions. Of course, the old adage that everyone likes to hear about themselves is true, but it was more than that. The Trimetrix really forced me to acknowledge some of my own areas for improvement, but at the same time it validated many of the positive qualities I believed I have to offer as a teacher.

When we used the Trimetric results to create a (hopefully) heterogenous group, I began to see the real possibilities inherent in creating a group where our collective talents could form a complete pie of resources to give our students the best possible learning environment. This information was also fantastic in helping explain why our group conflicted at times--it was not because someone was right or wrong, so much as it was their disposition caused them to care about certain things in ways others in the group might not.
